About Elena Vishnevskaya

Elena Vishnevskaya has taught at Central College since 2006. Prior to Central, she taught in the Department of English, Communications and Philosophy at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. She has published book chapters and articles on the history of Christian thought and cross-cultural religious encounters.  
At Central, Vishnevskaya has taught courses in Christian history, world Christianity, Christian spirituality and Eastern Christianity. She also has introduced Central students to the world of Fyodor Dostoevsky in an interdisciplinary senior seminar. Vishnevskaya’s most recent offering is a course on Taoism and Confucianism, which reflects her new research interest.
